ENTRY REQUIREMENTS FOR ADMISSION INTO REGISTERED GENERAL NURSING (RGN) AND REGISTERED MIDWIFERY (RM) PROGRAMMES

The College welcomes applications from suitably qualified candidates for admission into its Registered General Nursing (RGN) and Registered Midwifery (RM) programmes. Below are the entry requirements:

1. Age Requirement

• Applicants must be between 16 – 35 years
• Service Personnel are eligible to apply

2. Academic Qualification – WASSCE

• Aggregate Score: 36 or better
• Minimum Credits: A1 – C6 in all required subjects

3. Required Subjects

Core Subjects (Mandatory)

• English Language
• Mathematics
• Integrated Science

Elective Subjects (Any of the following):

• General Science
• General Arts
• Home Economics

Applicants must meet the above requirements to be considered for admission. Successful candidates will be trained to meet national and international healthcare standards in Nursing and Midwifery.

Entry Requirements for Foreign Nationals

• Aggregate Score: 36 or better with credits (A1 – C6) in:
  
  • Three (3) Core Subjects: English, Mathematics, and Integrated Science/Additional Mathematics/Biology
  • Three (3) Elective Subjects in relevant programmes
• Age Requirement: Applicants must be 16 – 35 years old
• Certificate and Transcript Interpretation: Must be evaluated by GTEC and WAEC
• Professional Verification: Required if applying for a Post Basic Programme

How to Apply

1. Purchase a Voucher:

   • Buy a voucher for 200 GHS from GCB or ADB.

2. Online Application:

   • Visit ‘healthtraining.gov.gh’.

   • Click on Apply located at the top of the page.

   • Enter the serial number and pin found on the voucher.

   • Fill out the form with your personal and academic details.

   • Attach your certificates and a passport-sized photo.

   • Submit the application and print out the application summary.

3. Check Application Status:

   • Regularly check your application status using the pin and serial number.

Admission Process

1. Interview Stage:

   • Confirm your invitation and attend the interview.

   • Check interview results online.

2. Admission Confirmation:

   • Check and print out your offer letter.

   • Confirm your admission fee.

   • Pay the fee at a designated bank.

   • Report to the college for enrollment.

Academics

• Report to school on time.

• Attend all classes.

• Take part in quizzes and exams.

• Successfully complete your clinicals.

• Pass your final exams to graduate.
